Secondly, I realise that basing an entire argument based on a few celebrity couples who have ‘gone astray’ (to put it mildly) is not the grounds for an entire argument. But I think it illustrates the point that the notion of ‘the institution of marriage’ is a massively flawed argument. The “Let’s get this straight” is an ironic title for those wondering. If you don’t get it… it’s a British thing. Last and by no means least, this is not actually my argument, per se - I just made it pretty. — Oh how embarrassing, updating the original doesn’t update everyone else - so everyone is pointing out that he’s not. Maybe we can just stick a dress on the poor chap and pretend! On the other hand, I can hardly complain if people are spreading the message more because of a simple typo!
ff4equalityI had part one of my psychiatric evaluation for my surgery. It was about 500 scantron bubble questions about me and my medical history. Some of those questions were really bizarre when considering it was a medical evaluation for bariatric surgery. “My favorite sporting event is the high jump? true or false” “My favorite hobbies are stamp collecting and archery? True or false” “My favorite poet is Raymond Kertezc? True or False”. Turns out Raymond Kertezc is a fictional person put on that test to see if people are paying attention.
It also kept asking “Are you having trouble being honest when answering these questions?” or “Do you feel paranoid?” After being asked if I’m paranoid 30 times in 30 different manners I joked to myself, “Well should I?”
This week I meet with the person who “evaluates” my answers and then gives me the go ahead or not on surgery.
*fingers crossed*
This is what we in the biz call an “epic B roll fail.” They’ll fire an intern and call it a day. #sigh
